So, once again I've got a toddler who doesn't eat. Fifteen months tomorrow and he only eats puréed fruits and vegetables and yogurt. That's actually more than Augustine ate at this point. However, Augustine quickly graduated to corned beef and then everything. We are again wondering what is up.
Tonight though, Timmy is down with the flu and had a pack of saltines next to him on the coffee table. Earlier in the evening, Katherine had offered one to little Thomas and he spit it out and rubbed it off of his tongue like he does everything. But, while we were all gathered for the Rosary, he decided to try it himself. (This child seems to always be his funniest when we are trying to pray!)
The first cracker was hysterical. He would bite a piece, spit it out and rub his tongue but then start moving his lips like he was tasting something good. He continued this, looking half puzzled, each time keeping a little more in his mouth and not wiping it all away. He was obviously discovering a new sensation that he liked. By the second cracker, he was a pro. Which, of course, is when we had finished praying and I could get a video of him eating.
Oh well, priceless moment, even if I didn't catch it all on film!
