As D-day approaches, officially December 12, I find myself trying to recall past labors. Things like how much the baby moved at the end, what different sensations I had, etc. So, I thought I should mark down some of what I am experiencing this time. Just in case there is a next time.

This little guy is SO active. He loves night time, it is his favorite time for kicking around. Not that I am sleeping, because this is when the heartburn kicks in. Add to this my immense size and finding a comfortable sleeping position is close to impossible. At some point each night I do fall off to sleep. Morning comes WAY too early.

The baby is already in position, and walking is a challenge to say the least. I am contracting throughout the days, hopeful my body is getting a lot of work done so actual labor will be quick. I have been reading about real natural childbirth, not just medication-free childbirth, and I am very excited to take a different approach to the whole process. In fact, I wish I had begun my research sooner, as I am thinking that a home birth would be preferable, but don’t want to make a major change at this point. Court isn’t quite with me on the home birth thing.

I am 36 weeks and a day today. Less than four weeks to go!
