We learned our lesson last year and got there too late. We were prepared this year: had the flip flops all together in one box, got up and dressed early, and were out the door at the crack of dawn (no, not really, but 11am seems like the crack of dawn around here sometimes!). What was the occasion?
It is National Flip Flop Day! That means FREE smoothies from Tropical Smoothie Cafe!!!! That's right- free! And everyone got his or her own, full-sized smoothie! Anyone with a large family knows that each person getting one is a big deal. This is just about our favorite treat.
It all went well, only one little mishap. Augustine poked holes in his styrofoam cup and smoothie started pouring out. Fortunately, Timmy had finished his and it was a quick fix and not too much got spilled in the van. (Shhh… don't tell Daddy!)
Now, we wait for 7/11 for our free Slurpees! In the meantime, I think I will check the schedule for the free summer movies.
