Sundays are usually pretty laid back around here. Big breakfast, or "special breakfast" as the kids call it, Mass, and then home to hang out. Lots of outside time, reading, games, etc.

Today was different though. Daddy is on his way to San Diego and Sunday just wasn’t the same. We all did pretty much the same things. Had delicious frozen pizzas for a late lunch/ early dinner. Mommy Christmas shopped a little online while everyone was occupied. Then, when the temperature finally dropped, we went outside to play. But there was no Daddy listening to football on his computer. No Daddy working on the garden or lawn. No Daddy to fix us dinner. No Daddy to discuss "Knights of the Old Republic" with. No Daddy to watch play X-Box before bed. Things just aren’t the same.

We prayed our Rosary tonight for Daddy to get to San Diego safely. And we will keep praying all week until he is safely home with us.

Little Red is already asking when he is coming home. It will be a long, empty week.

We miss you, Daddy!
