We just had Charlie home on leave for two weeks. He didn't stay here but would come over to hang out. We hadn't seen him since Christmas and Augustine took a little while to warm back up to him. But it didn't take long before he was asking every morning if Charlie was coming over.

They had great times wrestling and being guys. Charlie had lots of pointers for all three of his brothers, although I don't think Thomas was paying attention. 🙂

Now that he is gone, Augustine still gets up each day asking if Charlie is coming over. It is so sad. Sadder still is that he will soon stop asking. Six or seven months will go by before we see Charlie again and he will have to get reacquainted with his little brothers all over again.

This is one of the few drawbacks of a large family, the older ones start leaving before the babies stop coming. I will never have all of my children living under one roof at the same time. The bond between my children is one of my greatest joys.  I worry that these little guys, and any more to come, will not have the same bond with their biggest brother.

God's plan for this family is perfect. It will all work towards His glory if we follow Him. So, it's all good! 🙂

So, I was almost reaching eloquent there until the baby started crying and I totally lost my train of thought! Can you spot where I got distracted? LOL! Back to the 2 minute posts!
