Blogging in the New Year

I should have known I wouldn’t be very good at this blogging thing. I am a thinker and a perfectionist. If I can’t do it perfectly, well… This is why I can’t keep a journal. I buy pretty ones to motivate me, but I can’t bring myself to write in them!

But back to blogging.  This is the problem:
I am always thinking about what I want to post. Little daily things I want to remember and big events that I want to post details and pictures of. Events like birthdays and Christmas. The problem is that I need time for the big things like posting pictures. I can’t do it on my ancient computer. And even on Court’s, it takes a long time. I need quiet to write more than a one-liner. (Guess what, as soon as I started this post while baby is sleeping snuggly on my chest and all is quiet, the children start appearing one by one, talking and wanting help with their snow clothes. Sigh)
So, this is my train of thought:
I want to post about the snow, but I haven’t even posted about Christmas yet because I haven’t gotten the pictures on the computer. So I can’t post about the snow because then my posts will be out of order! LOL! Or maybe it is too late to post about Christmas. But how can I skip Christmas, or George’s Baptism!

You can see that I could make myself crazy with all of this. Yes, I have some issues! LOL! So, my blogging resolution for the New Year is to just do it. (Original, huh?) I need to let go of my perfectionist tendencies and relax. If I have a minute, I will post those one-line notes about our daily life. When I have time (it could happen!), I will upload photos and thoughtfully record the fabulous details of our big events.

For the record, they are all here now, talking to me. So much for a quiet moment and an uninterrupted train of thought. It’s a mom’s life!

Happy New Year!
