Let me start by saying, I love this child! She is beautiful. She is funny. She is quirky and a little bizarre. But many friends and family just don't understand our exasperation when discussing our life with her. Here are some examples from the last two hours:
"Just eat your yogurt, don't brush your teeth with it"
"But I didn't want syrup on that waffle yet! Wah! Wah! Wah!" (That was her crying, not me. Not yet anyway.)
"Don't hold your waffle with your fingers while you cut it."
"Just give him his yogurt."
"Get the butterfly garden off of the baby's head."
"Why are you dressed in a sheet?" (The answer provided by Regina is that at least she has grasped that she needs to cover front and back when she comes down looking for a dress, rather than the towel yesterday only covering her front. Of course. )
"Stop."
"No"
"Don't touch the baby"
"Wait"
And so on, and so on.
It really isn't all bad. She did sing wonderfully to the baby, when she wasn't putting things on his head, while I made breakfast. She put on a pretty dress, found the right sized bike shorts and went potty with no hassle at all. Good thing, because I had already threatened to kill her, (don't worry she doesn't seem to hear a word I say) several times.
Here she is, as quirky as possible:
And here she is, just as cute as possible:
