A good place to pause…

and savor the moment! I have trying to write this post for a couple of weeks, but my computer would not cooperate. I afraid the moment has almost slipped by. But here are my thoughts, anyway…

I have been thinking about how quickly things change around here. Looking seven months down the road and my oldest will be leaving the nest. The baby will be running around. Sweet Em will probably be talking up a storm and Little Red will be reading. Princess Grace will be on the brink of teenage-hood. The other changes will be subtle, until one day I look at a child and wonder what happened. How did he or she get so tall? When did they stop sounding like little kids and turn into my “big kids”?

Baby George is at that perfect baby age. He sits and plays for long periods of time. (He is, however, threatening to crawl. Hence, my statement that the moment is slipping by as I type!)Sweet Em is just the epitome of cuteness. Charlie is still here to annoy us and amuse us. Life without him will be quiet, too quiet.  Big B is flailing headlong into that “10 year old boy thing”, which means lots of sarcastic remarks and moody answers. Yes, let’s pause before that progresses any further!

So, right here, right now, can we hold time still? It is far from perfect, but we are all here, safe, together. I know life goes on and change is good, but I am pretty happy right here.
