I know my other two boys loved cars when they were toddlers. Timmy could roll them around on a table before he could stand. Charlie was lucky enough to have the big board with a whole town painted on it that my mom made long ago for my little brother. But my little guy is obsessed with cars! He even takes them to bed with him. He points them out on his jammies every morning. He points them out on our walks, stopping at every driveway to look for one. He drives us crazy in the van because he won't stop saying "Car!" He even keeps hold of them when nursing, which makes me wonder if it is time to wean if he is driving his cars on me while nursing!
We got him his very own car mat, which is how Timmy lures him out of bed in the mornings. He's got all the right sound effects, too. There are driving sounds, slamming on the brakes sounds, and, of course, crashing sounds. My favorite is when he drives the car up the wall and then makes a falling off of a cliff sound as he pretends the car is falling. He likes me to get down there with him, but I just can't make the right sounds. Must be a guy thing!
