Here are some shots of our chicken coop and pen. The coop was made from the remnants of a large playhouse my brother gave us the materials for which was never put together. So, the door and windows are from that, along with with other scrap wood we had around. The side has an old doggie door for letting the chickens in and out. I laugh because my kids have never had something that cool to play in, but the chickens do! Court was going to block off the bottom section because the little guys go under there to hide. However, it gives them a place to hide when predators like that hawk come hanging around.
Thanks for the hens, Ruth! They were a little unsure last night but now they are loving life!
