Harvesting the oats
Chasing the chickens out of the corn
Swinging on swings
Catching lightning bugs
Singing and twirling and laughing
Looking at the little ones, Court asks why they can't stay this way forever. It is so tempting to want to just freeze time. It's got to be as close to Heaven as we get in this life. We might talk wistfully of time to ourselves, and that cruise we are going to take someday. But imagining life without our children surrounding us is hard to do. One gone already, so far away, casts a slight shadow. Freezing time sounds like the only answer!
