but not real ones. It is a little game Augustine and I play while he sits on the potty. I am not quite sure how it started, but he loves it. He pretends he catches a chicken that is flying. He hands it to me and I cup it gently in my hands. I then place it gently in the "chicken coop" which is one of the tiles on the floor. Great fun! Occassionally, one of our kitchen ants will wander that far and our pretend chickens will eat them right up!

We also play "I Spy Book". I couldn't figure out what he was asking to play until I realized he was sticking the word "book" on the end of "I Spy". He does this because we have lots of I Spy books. So, he says "I spybook" and then says a color. No need for me to guess because he then tells me what he spies. It gets a little repetitive in a little half bath where the only thing that changes is the clothing we have on.

But I try not to rush him or shorten this time together. I don't actually have anything more important to do than spend this one on one time with my little guy who is turning into a big guy way too fast!
