I have been thinking about starting a blog since last Fall. The only thing holding me back was my broken camera. Now, with a new camera in hand, the time is now!
This blog is not about me, or my brilliant insights into issues big and small. This blog is for me, my own personal journal/scrapbook/Creative Memories album all rolled into one. It is a place for me to capture the memories, to tell a story, to share the joy and the chaos. A place to Remember Today.
My oldest has a nice fat photo album, with page after page of baby pictures. He has a Baby’s First Year calender full of every vital statistic and milestone. My next child has a photo album, much smaller, but still full of her baby pictures. She has a calender, too. It is missing the detail of her big brother’s, but I think we at least recorded the highlights. (You know, little things like her first word!)
Child number 3 does not have a photo album. There is a calender with his name on it. That’s about it. We won’t even talk about kids 4-7.
That is what this blog is about. I don’t want another first to be forgotten, another sweet story to fade.
Come along and celebrate this life with us. And if you are lucky, I just might treat you to a brilliant insight or two as a bonus!

LOL you are not alone so don’t feel bad. With rare exception, every mother I know of more than 2 says the same thing. Take heart! We bought a digital camera the christmas before the last baby was born. We love it! I don’t think a day goes by without a picture taken. Unfortuantely it still costs a small fortune to develop them and we keep forgeting to order print photos – so there isn’t a single printed picture of our darling baby girl in existance. I’m so shamed, but then we get knee deep in laundry and I forget again! 🙁
