When all else fails, call for Daddy!
Last night, when all our little blessings were tucked in bed, Court and I settled down to watch a movie in bed. Sweet Em, who shares a room with Princess Grace, was still stirring. We could hear her through the monitor, but left her so she could fall asleep.
She progressively got louder, calling "Mommy", but still we left her on her own. Then, suddenly, she switched tactics. Instead of her typical "Mommy" she decided to try "Daddy!" She started calling his name, over and over. This is the first time she has said "Daddy".
And guess what? It worked! Like a charm. Daddy got out of bed and came back with a happy, cuddly toddler clinging to him. It was so sweet!
But poor Daddy. Can anyone guess what she did when he climbed into bed with her? The coy little Daddy’s Girl dove straight out of Daddy’s arms into Mommy’s! Where she stayed, of course, for the rest of the movie.

Well, at least you were able to enjoy the movie without falling asleep–I haven’t been able to finish a movie with my dh in a while! :S

No wonder you feel so poorly. You have spoiled your kids. They have manipulated both of you. Try to get some sleep.
