Typing with one hand because my little guy is passed out on my lap. But if I don't size the quiet I will never post!

He is 16 months today. So, I thought it would be a good time to write about who he is these days.

Once again, I have a toddler who doesn't eat or talk. He seems to have an aversion to textures. He loves his yogurt and organic baby food but won't take anything else, or at least he wouldn't until recently. Last week, I decided it was time to get him evaluated. I went out that evening and came home to news that he had eaten several pieces of penne. I hoped that was the big breakthrough the last two had, but not quite. He does seem more willing though. If Daddy is eating it, he will try. I guess I'll give it some more time before taking him in.

As for talking, he chatters away, but has only a couple of words. He says ball and car and mama. Not unusual for my boys, though.

He has a great sense of humor and loves to make us laugh. And he likes to laugh at me! If he does something like pinch me when he's nursing and I say "That's not funny", he starts laughing! He loves peek-a-boo.

The sweetest thing, though, is what a Daddy's boy he is. When he wakes up in the morning, Court asks him if he wants to go see the chickens and he climbs out of bed when nothing else can entice him away from me. If Court goes out the front door, Thomas is right behind him. They garden together, take care of the chickens together, Thomas even has his own controller for the x-box which he gets out when his daddy is playing. He climbs on the recliner next to Daddy and is content to hold his controller while Daddy plays. There is nothing more beautiful than to see him give Court a big hug!

Time is going so fast and my little guy isn't quite a baby anymore. The kids keep remarking how big he is and how sad they are that he's turning into a kid. It is always bittersweet. So fun to watch them grow but you just want to freeze time and keep him forever just as he is! He may be number 9, but every moment is just as exciting as it was for each of the other kids.

Well, time is up and so is he! Time for some gardening!
