What's more fun on a dreary day than building tents in the living room with blankets, towels and Fairy cloaks? But my girls don't build ordinary tents. During construction, I overheard Elizabeth telling Clare, "I have already built an alcove for reading."
I never had an alcove in my tents growing up. I am pretty sure I hadn't even heard the word at the age of six. Then again, I didn't have the privilege to spend my days reading and dreaming and creating. I am so glad my kids do.
