I have spent six of the last twelve Advents pregnant. Two of those years, I was suffering from horrible morning sickness. Four of those years, I was waiting for labor to happen, and then cuddling a new baby. Suffice it to say, our Advent preparation and prayer life have more often than not fallen short of my expectations.
This Advent is off to a good start. I am hopeful that we will enjoy our time of preparation together, working side by side and gathering to pray and sacrifice, as well as celebrate the feasts of the season. Most of the children are at good ages to join in with the various crafts, novenas and gift giving. I finally feel like I am not in this thing alone!
I hope to keep up here with thoughts about journey, as well of pictures of what we create together.
