Tomorrow is the big day: The Blizzard of 2010 is scheduled to begin in the morning! I am all for a nice, big snow each winter. But just ONE nice big snow is plenty! We have done more shoveling in the last six weeks than we did the last four winters. It would be a great weight loss plan if it didn't kill our backs! With each snow, we contemplate the snow blower but think this could be the last big snow for years so why spend the money. But the snow just keeps coming. I would have to say that had we bought one on December 17, we would have gotten our money's worth!

At least this weekend we have no plans, other than our yearly Super Bowl party at our friends' house. Court thinks we can still make it. I am not shoveling over a foot of snow for the Super Bowl. To get out for Mass, yes. The Super Bowl, no! Frosty can make us some chili another weekend. ;-)

I think we are pretty well stocked up with provisions. Court tried to do his nightly grocery store run only to find no bread, no eggs, no tortillas, not even any hot dog buns! Luckily, they weren't out of hummus. We will be warm and well-fed as long as the electricity stays on, which I always worry about with a big storm like this. We can snuggle up, watch movies and eat popcorn to our hearts content.

I guess when the snow and the winds stop, there will be sledding and snowmen, then hot chocolate and more snuggling. Not so bad, I guess! 🙂

Did I share this shot from our last big snow?Photo
That was my desperate plea to the UPS guy to deliver the rest of our Christmas presents. The part of the driveway you see is only about half of our driveway. The other half is all up hill. He did fill that bin. The tricky part was getting it down the driveway without breaking my neck. Fortunately, there are no urgent packages being awaited for this time.
